Northwest Airlines 1Northwest Airlines was one of the leading airlines of the world, which started its operation in 1926. Northwest Airlines or NWA is a major United States airline headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, near the St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis. However, Northwest Airlines has since merged into Delta Air Lines, while providing flights from its three major hubs in United States, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, and Memphis International Airport.

Northwest Airlines also operated flights from its Asian hub at Narita International Airport in Tokyo, and trans-Atlantic flights from its European hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Northwest Airlines was the world's sixth largest airline that provided amazing domestic and international flights. In addition, Northwest Airlines also operated one of the largest domestic route networks in the United States.

There were four types of travel classes aboard Northwest Airlines, namely World Business Class, Domestic First Class, International Economy Class and Domestic Economy Class. World Business Class is the same as business class, where the seats had 60 inches of pitch and 176 degrees of recline. You will receive free meals and refreshments when traveling in this class, including alcoholic beverages. All seats are equipped with Audio-Video-On-Demand, universal power-ports, a moveable reading light, a folding work table, and a swivel cocktail table.

Domestic First Class was offered on domestic flights, with the usual services and amenities. International Economy Class and Domestic Economy Class were available on all international flights. Passengers aboard this class received free meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine were complimentary on international flights with complimentary meals; other alcoholic beverages could have been purchased for a fee. In-flight services and facilities provide comfort to you during your journey, as Northwest Airlines offers various in-flight conveniences. 

Northwest Airlines' frequent-flyer program WorldPerks, offers you the ability to obtain free tickets, first class upgrades on flights, discounted membership for its airport lounges, plus other types of rewards. You can also accumulate miles from flights flown or through Northwest's partners, such as car rental companies, hotels, credit cards, and other vendors. WorldPerks' elite tiers were Silver Elite, Gold Elite and Platinum elite which allowed for more mileage bonuses.
